Nike LeBron 9 Low Obsidian

With the Nike LeBron 8 lineup coming to a close, the performance-oriented Nike LeBron 9 will usher in new technologies such as the Zoom Air/Max Air. Here is a first look at the new lowtop version for the LeBron 9. This lowtop version will utilize the same synthetic materials such as the Hyperfuse. It will not have the clover-shaped carbon fiber accent like the Mids. Instead of opting to go with the Zoom/Max Air cushioning unit, the lowtop version will feature a lightweight Phylon midsole and a 360 air max unit similar to the LeBron 8. It is unknown if this version will make it to production, but stay tuned for further info. How does this lowtop compare to the midtop version?

Nike Air Max 95 Navy Blue/Red

The classic silhouette of the Nike Air Max 95 has added Navy Blue/Red to its list of abundant colorways. The upper is a blend of materials like soft suede and mesh. The color blocking consist of mainly a navy blue upper with a touch of contrast with a bright red colorway from the tongue, inner liner, air unit and sole.

Vans Vault Sk8 Hi LX Premio Burgundy

Vans gives us a taste of a true classic look with their Vans Vault Sk8 Hi LX made in a dark Burgundy Italian leather. Sat atop a white vulcanized sole, complete with a navy foxing stripe that wraps around the circumference of the sneaker. The sneaker stays true to its original profile of the Sk8 Hi, but with this premium leather upper giving the proper pop to the sneaker guarantees a positive feedback from loyal sneaker enthusiasts. Chrome metal lace eyelets and waxed laces makeup the rest of this well done sneaker. These Vans are due to drop across the pond, and they should arrive at other Vans retailers soon

CAT (Caterpillar) footwear and Blackrainbow (a Persian retailer/creative agency) are brainstorming to come up with a curve ball thrown into the shoe game. Following CAT’s outdoor theme, boot laces give the shoe a true working mans feel using premium leather for their upper which also has a canvas camo heel. The thick midsole is color matched with the overall color scheme of the shoe. These three colorways are all due to drop, so stay tuned with us at TSG for the latest.

Air Jordan 1 Phat Low – October 2011

It looks like Jordan Brand is ready for the fall season with the release of this earth-tone colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Phat Low. This lifestyle colorway is dressed in mostly a perforated dark brown velvety suede. Khaki colored accents can be found like in the Swoosh, tongue, and inner liner. The Velvet Brown upper complements the gum-bottom sole and white midsole.

Official colorway is Velvet Brown/Khaki/White. Scheduled to hit stores in October for a retail price of $100.

Nike Dunk High VT Premium Quickstrike – Haystack – Birch

The summer of 2011 will forever be remembered as the time when Nike Sportswear bred its first hybrids with a Hyperfuse parentage, and though this is the kind of advance you can expect to see repeated by NSW in the future, the super-breathable nature of Fuse material isn't exactly practical for the winter. Applying Vac-Tech molding technology to this new Nike Dunk High VT Premium Quickstrike allows sneakerheads another new look at a classic silhouette. It's the type of thing that'd save you from frostbite, but despite the Timberland-style 'wheat' look, their molded suede uppers are likely best worn on days not plagued by wet weather.

Nike Sportswear comes out with another colorway in the Nike Air Flight Falcon. As previewed before, this model comes in design cues inspired by retro classics.

Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 5 Sail/Black/Varsity Red

The Paul Rodriguez “P Rod” has been one of Nike SB’s most widely-lauded and highly-covetable skate shoe models. Both seriously functional and aesthetically appealing, the kicks’ chunky, dunk-inspired silhouette makes them ideal for customization. New for August 2011 comes the P Rod 5 in a low-key “sail/black/varsity red” colorway. Complete with a white midsole, black sole and matching laces, the shoes are a little less loud than most Nike SB releases, yet maintain pops of color through the integration of red details on the insole, eyelets and tongue.

After the French Open and Wimbledon, brace yourself for another big event this year in the tennis division. The 2011 US Open Tennis Championships welcomes the world No. 1 and reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic, reigning US Open and French Open champion Rafael Nadal, and five-time US Open champion Roger Federer to lead the men’s singles.

The 2011 US Open will be played on August 29 – September 11, 2011 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. Both the men’s and women’s US Open singles champions will earn $1.8 million with the ability to earn an additional $1 million in bonus prize money based on their performances in the Olympus US Open Series. The US Open Men’s Singles Championship is presented by Mercedes-Benz USA.

All participants are now ready with their official tournament outfits sponsored mostly by Nike. However, New Balance turned to official outfitter Polo Ralph Lauren for a secondary sponsorship for the on-court officialdom. The New Balance 851 that’s dressed up in white/navy colorway with rubber and mesh materials that showcases RL’s logo on the side will be the bureaucracy’s footwear. Neon green and orange are part of the shoe’s eye-catching features.

Porsche Design Sport – Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

adidas Originals and Porsche Design continue their partnership this season with a new range of luxury sportswear under the Porsche Design Sport brand name. The Fall/Winter 2011 offering of the Porsche Design Sport collection is made up of several new apparel items, a variety of footwear and a few random accessories. Our focus here is, obviously, on the footwear line. Seven sneakers and 2 boots make the cut this year, many coming in at least 2 colorways. The models include mostly running and driving shoes along with individual styles for golf and tennis. Each sneaker is elegantly designed with sleek lines inspired by luxury Porsche sports cars and is crafted using the industry’s most advanced technologies. Nike Womens Toki Mexican Blanket

Nike’s Mexican Blanket releases have received spotty reception year after year but this release is sure to be a to be a hit. The women’s Toki is rich in color as it is in history. The canvas upper features a serapes design that reflects a deeply rooted Mexican heritage.

Serapes refers to the traditional striped weave that makes up the Mexican blanket that were once intended as a cheap versatile outerwear mainly worn by the poor folk of Mexico and Guatemala. Now Nike has set another remixed design on their Toki model and made it especially for women to enjoy this year.
